It’s only Tuesday and so far this week has been a pretty good week for movie posters. I’ll just cut to the chase and let you see them for yourself.
‘The Campaign’
Director Jay Roach has taken his experience directing comedies such as Austin Powers and added a political spin for his newest film, The Campaign. Two rival North Carolina politicians go head to head for a seat in congress to represent their small district. The first set of posters from the film were released yesterday, and are geared towards animal lovers. All together now, “Awwww.”
The next set of posters, released today, show Will Ferrell’s Cam Brady facing off (literally) against Zach Galifianakis’s Marty Huggins. You can view the posters in full on the Facebook pages of politicians Cam Brady and Marty Huggins.
The Campaign arrives in theaters August 10th, 2012. Check out the movie trailer here.
‘Taken 2′
Known badass Liam Neeson reprises his role from Taken as retired CIA operative Bryan Mills. In Taken 2, Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter. I guess the lesson here is stop taking Liam Neeson’s stuff and he’ll stop killing you.
Last week 20th Century Fox released the trailer and the first poster for the sequel. Today, we get a look at the second poster for the movie. If these posters say anything, it’s that Liam Neeson likes holding guns while half-way in the dark.
Watch Neeson kick more ass when Taken 2 hits theaters October 5, 2012.
‘The Amazing Spider-Man’
Throughout the entire marketing campaign for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, we have seen poster after poster after impressive poster. Today Marvel teases us with this poster available to movie goers attending the midnight IMAX showings (according to MTV). Its a simple poster, but I really like it.
The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters next week, July 3, 2012.
What do you think?
