Iam a huge fan of independent movies, and any time I see an opportunity to get one out of the editing room and onto the big screen I leap into action. Dear White People is a satirical look at the idea of a “black movie” and pokes fun at the movies that have taken over the once respectable genre of Black Art House pictures. This is no Tyler Perry flick, and from the short trailer and brief history of what their goal is, I couldn’t help but want to help. Breaking the tradition of typecasting and stereotyping, this trailer promises everything but. All it will take is a couple dollars from a few interested fans and this great idea can get put into action and turned into a feature length film. Once you watch the trailer, you will be on board.
