Presented by none other than Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart, the new and highly anticipated trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 was released yesterday at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
Upon viewing the trailer I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I’ve never picked up one Twilight book in my life so I’m not sure what all entails for our diamond sparkling vampires. However, I have seen every movie. I’d have to say the trailer does a fantastic job at building you up and making you want more. In my opinion it’s one of the best trailers to date for the franchise.
I’m still wondering why we’re using this epic soundtrack? The human senses are conditioned to huge choral music being attached to films such as Avatar and Green Lantern. When you combine a teenage love story with violins, heavy brass instruments, and ear-piercing sopranos you’re setting yourself up for laughter.
And please someone tell me Jacob is over Bella Swan. To see him running out in the rain again shirtless is sad, boring and repetitious. By the way vampire sex looks intense! In one shot Edward breaks the freaking headboard! In the video below Robert Pattinson talks with MTV about “the scene”:

From my experience of watching Twilight films in theaters this will either go two ways: people will think it’s absolutely corny and laugh during the entire sex scene–then we’ll have hardcore Twilight fans pissed because people are laughing–or it will be immensely awkward since I expect a mix of parents and kids to attend this film. However, if director Bill Condon knows how to play his cards right everything should play out just fine. There’s no doubt this film will have people talking. Check out the trailer below:
Directed by Bill Condon, Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 stars Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart. This film hits theaters November 18th, 2011.
Official Synopsis:
In the highly anticipated next chapter of the blockbuster The Twilight Saga, the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world.
After their wedding, Bella and Edward travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon, where they finally give in to their passions. Bella soon discovers she is pregnant, and during a nearly fatal childbirth, Edward finally fulfills her wish to become immortal.
But the arrival of their remarkable daughter, Renesmee, sets in motion a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, the fearsome council of vampire leaders, setting the stage for an all-out battle.
The suspenseful and deeply romantic Breaking Dawn continues the epic tale of supernatural fantasy and passionate love that has made The Twilight Saga a worldwide phenomenon.
