‘The Avengers’ Russian Style: New Trailer Offers More Loki

Why is everything in Russian really bad ass? You could have a Russian speaking Furby and it’d be the most kick-ass toy in the store. Marvel released another international trailer for The Avengers, dubbed in Russian of course. The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson

The new trailer gives us more explosions, more shots, and most importantly, more Loki. We’re seeing a bit more from scenes that we’ve seen in the American trailer. In this trailer we discover that Loki throws, what looks to be Hawkeye out of a window.The person who throws Captain America on top of the police car is still a mystery. We’ve seen the American, German, and Russian trailer, what stays constant in all three is the word ‘playboy’. Good to know the word’s universal . I don’t know about you guys but I hate that Tony Stark/Iron Man seems to be the poster boy for The Avengers. Move over Stark, that position belongs to Captain America.

Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers hits theaters May 4, 2012.

Just reading this and your last sentence is rather irksome – of course Tony Stark should be poster boy – not just that RDJ is the big name leading for Marvel but also because without Iron Man and the beginning success, there would be no Avengers – so he earns that position fair and square – Captain America rode on the coattails of continuous Marvel success so he doesn’t quite earn that spot.
