What about you guys? What do you want to see in cinema this weekend? Check out the synopsis and  trailers below for each film.

Sucker Punch:

Synopsis:

“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality.  Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary.

She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive.  Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls—the outspoken Rocket (Jena Malone), the street-smart Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), the fiercely loyal Amber (Jamie Chung) and the reluctant Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish)—to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors, Blue (Oscar Isaac), Madam Gorski (Carla Gugino) and the High Roller (Jon Hamm).

Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal.  Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive.  But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey—if they succeed—will set them free.

Sucker Punch… When I first saw the trailer for this action crazed film attached to Black Swan, I had no clue what to think. I remember looking over to my friend and being somewhat impressed by what I saw, but also a bit confused. The video game stylistic components of the movie kept me from fully understanding what was going on as my brain tried to process the awesomeness in front of me. I’m not a huge gamer, so the graphics were interesting to say the least. After that night I forgot about the film.

A couple of months later, and here I am. Before today my interest was peaking around the corner wondering if I should go see this film. It’s got some really hot chicks, explosions, and somewhat of an interesting story line to keep me awake.

Here’s the synopsis of the film:

An action fantasy set in the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary. She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Pretty interesting right. You’ve got an adventure, weapons, girls using weapons, and the pondering question of: Will they succeed?

Directed by Zack Snyder, Sucker Punch stars Carla Gugino, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Jon Hamm, Michael Jai White, Abbie Cornish, Emily Browning, Jamie Chung. The film hits theaters March 25, 2011.
