It’s only Wednesday and movie posters are being thrown out like kool-aid popsicles on a scorching hot summer day. As always, some of the posters provide nothing but dire laughter, while others offer a deeper look into the films they’re promoting. Below are posters for Django Unchained, The Dictator, Piranha 3DD, Prometheus, and Snow White and the Huntsman.

My favorite poster out of the bunch is definitely the character poster for David 8 of Prometheus followed closely of course by Snow White and the Huntsman – all others can fall to the wayside. Michael Fassbender holds the perfect pose as David 8; he’s mechanical and slightly disturbing all at the same time, not to mention that blonde hair adds a whole notch to the creep factor. In the film, David 8 is the latest product of Weyland Industries’ artificial intelligence, and is capable of almost anything asked of him.

According to Fassbender, in efforts to master the character’s poise he spent weeks studying and analyzing the posture of former diver and Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis. He also revealed that David will provide much of the comedy within the film, agitating the crew members with his overbearing curiosity.
