Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Wife #4
The last time we saw Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the Victoria’s Secret model turned actress, Michael Bay’s cameras in Transformers: Dark of the Moon chased her every move, showing off her beauty and body rather than giving the fashionista any real substance to sink her teeth into. However, the 25 year-old actress will get a chance to redeem herself and show the world that she’s more than just a pretty face as she’s been cast as one of the five wives in the George Miller-directed film, Mad Max: Fury Road.
A Talented & Kick-Ass Cast
Huntington-Whiteley joins the ranks of a pretty star studded cast: Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) and Charlize Theron (Prometheus) lead the film as Max Rockatansky and Furiosa. Hardy will step into Mel Gibson’s shoes as he was last seen playing the Road Warrior back in the ’80s with Mad Max, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond the Thunder Dome. Nicholas Hoult, who played Beast/Hank McCoy in X-men: First Class and can be seen in next year’s Jack the Giant Killer will play Nux.
With the production date nearing, Warner Bros. & Miller are looking to finalize their cast. Huntington-Whiteley plays the fourth wife out of five; she joins Zoe Kravitz (X-men: First Class), Riley Keogh (The Runaways, Magic Mike) and Adelaide Clemens (X-men Origins: Wolverine). The fifth wife has yet to be cast. If you’re wondering about the roles of the five wives in the film… well there’s not much news on that front. However, we do know they will travel across the barren waste-land and of course come in contact with Max. A group of unnamed antagonists will be in search for the women and ‘Mad’ Max will step in and save them from their death.

Did you enjoy Huntington-Whiteley’s performance in Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon? Or did Bay not give her enough screen time to form any type of opinion? After replacing Megan Fox in the Transformers franchise, let’s hope she’s not just shadowing Fox, but that could be the case. We’ll see when Mad Max: Fury Road hits theaters (no release date has been announced).
