This week Marvel Entertainment released two new posters for their upcoming superhero films, The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, starring Nicolas Cage.
The Amazing Spider-Man Poster:
This poster would have been fantastic if it wasn’t for the stupid text at the bottom. “The Untold Story?!” We already know the story of Spider-Man’s origins. Unless you’re willing to piss a lot of Spidey fans off, I’m pretty sure there’s nothing new to this story that we haven’t seen before. But it is a pretty banging poster. Damn, does anyone have have a sharpie?
Directed by Marc Web, The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters July 3, 2012.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Poster
Now this is a pretty badass poster, that is if it didn’t have Nicolas Cage’s name on it. Sorry guys, not a fan. But I’m willing to say that this could be the beginning of something new, fresh and fascinating. Is anyone still recovering from the last Ghost Rider film? I know I am, and for that reason alone, if the first trailer doesn’t revive the name of Ghost Rider, then I’m probably skipping this film. And being a huge Marvel fan, that’s hard for me to say.
Directed by Mark Neveldine, Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance hits theaters February 17th, 2011.
Official Synopsis:
The film follows Johnny Blaze as he hides out in Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse, he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form.
