Renesmee – The Wild Child
Pictures from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 (in theaters Nov. 16th) are starting to roll in. From Entertainment Weekly, we get a sneak peek of the Cullen family’s newest addition, Renesmee. Twilight fans did get a teensy glimpse of her in Breaking Dawn — Part 1 when Jacob Black had a vision of Renesmee growing up, but this is the first we’ve seen of her since then. Named after Bella’s mother Renee and Edward’s mother Esme, Renesmee (pronounced reh-nez-may) will be played by Mackenzie Foy.
Eleven-year-old Mackenzie has starred in many commercials including those for Burger King, Kohl’s, and Pantene. She’s also made appearances on the TV shows ‘Til Death, Flash Forward and Hawaii Five-0. Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 is her first movie appearance.
Mackenzie’s role will be more complicated than Kristen Stewart’s Bella or Robert Pattinson’s Edward. Half-human, half-vampire, Renesmee has many oddities. She matures at an accelerated rate and will have a mix of human and vampire qualities.
It’s too early to tell how well Mackenzie will step up to the role as Renesmee. However, there’s one thing that’s undeniable — she certainly looks the part. The resemblance to Stewart and Pattinson is uncanny. Check out the photo gallery below and let us know what you think about the new photos.
