Either Joseph Gordon-Levitt loves starring in time travel films or Bruce Willis enjoys his renowned title as one of Hollywood’s top, ass-kicking, action stars. Whatever the case may be seeing these two actors duke it on the big screen will no doubt be 2 hours of pure glory for fans worldwide. After receiving the international trailer just last week, EndGame Entertainment and FilmDistrict released the second theatrical trailer for the much anticipated film, Looper.

The Plot

From director and writer Rian Johnson comes the story of 25 year-old killer, Joseph Simmons. His position in society? A looper. The story takes place in Kansas City, year 2042. Simmon’s job is to hunt and kill people sent in by his employers, “Gat Men”, from year 2072. There’s only one rule to the job — never let anyone escape. However, when Simmons receives his next target, he hesitates as he realizes it’s him at age 55. The victim escapes and Simmons must kill him before the Gat Men has a chance to end both of their lives.

Bruce Willis & Joseph Gordon-Levitt Duke It Out

The trailer opens with an impressive scene between Gordon-Levitt and Willis as they sit at a diner together observing the situation and the physical toll in which time has on the body. We get our usual smart-ass Willis as he challenges Gordon-Levitt’s character to be a man and kill him already, “Why don’t you grab your little gun from between your legs and do it, boy.” As you can imagine all hell breaks loose right there in the diner as Gordon-Levitt deliver the first blow right to the crotch.

The highlight of the trailer comes in at around minute 2:03. Willis’ character moves about a room with two loaded machine guns and does damage. The trailer then cuts to a series of shots reminiscent of Inception as cars, lighters, tables and random objects defy the laws of gravity. If you weren’t interested in this film before, hold on to your seat, because you’re about to be reintroduced.

Directed and penned by Rian Johnson, Looper stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano and Jeff Daniels. This film slams into theaters September 28, 2012.
