Actor of the Week: Shiloh Fernandez

Shiloh Fernandez is currently growing in popularity as he makes his way into the minds of teenage girls everywhere… Let’s hope he’s not the next Robert Pattinson. What’s even more hilarious is that he was one of four actors called back for the role of Edward Cullen. He does have that vampire look going on.

Fernandez was born February 26, 1985 in Ukiah California and started his acting career at the early age of five. In his teenage years he focused on his modeling career and posed in several print ads for American Apparel, which were posted in downtown Manhattan. His modeling career was short lived and he moved to LA to follow one of his ex-girlfriends, who broke up with him before he actually got there.  But it wasn’t before long until he put his focus into acting after realizing that working in the stockroom of American Apparel just wasn’t for him. At some point in life we all have self-realizations. If you’re not happy with the current job you have, why not quit and find a job you are happy with? (I know that’s easier said than done)

But his acting career didn’t really take off until 2005 when he played Kyle in a film short title Wasted. After that short, he appeared on several television shows: Cold Case, Drake & Josh, Lincoln Heights, Jericho, Gossip Girls, and Three Rivers. In 2010, he was casted in Skateland, Swerve, and Happiness Runs.

Currently, you can catch him in Red Ridding Hood, staring along side Amanda Seyfried as Peter. Red Ridding Hood premiers March 11, 2011.
