Let’s start with this disappointing Stan Lee business. Today, the father of superheros announced via his Twitter account that he will not have a cameo in 20th Century Fox’s X-men: First Class. Here’s his tweet:
Upsetting? Absolutely. Marvel fans search and wait for that Stan Lee cameo like it’s a piece of gold. His best cameo appearance thus far was in last week’s Thor. Not going to ruin it for you if you haven’t seen the film, but chances are being a Marvel/Stan Lee fan you were probably in line opening night. If you think about it, Stan Lee only had two cameos in the past four X-men films released, which is insane if you ask me. Looks like we’ll all be missing that moment when Stan Lee appears and the whole theater laughs and screams in excitement. Disappointing Fox.

Now on to that new TV spot, which features some spectacular new footage of Emma Frost transforming into her diamond skin and then sending a guy flying through the air. The rest of the TV spot is comprised of footage from other trailers. It looks like Emma Frost will actually receive the attention she deserves. Her costumes are amazing, and plus Matthew Vaughn and Bryan Singer were spot on in casting January Jones as the White Queen. Unfortunately, the TV spot is a lo-res version, but this will have to do until a better one hits the net.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, X-men: First Class slams into theaters June 3rd, 2011.
