‘The Dark Knight Rises’ May Join Occupy Wall Street

OCCUPY WALL STREET! It’s been all over the press, and it looks as if Christopher Nolan may have plans to use the protesters in New York City as part of the the third Batman installment, Dark Knight Rises.

Going under the name, Maximus… producers informed The LA Times that the actors have been told to prepare to shoot scenes that may very well include the protest in Zuccotti Park. Of course, neither Nolan or Warner Bros. have confirmed the protesters involvement with the film, due to the secrecy surrounding the film since day one.

It’s been reported that Nolan won’t actually add the Occupy Wall Street message into the film, but he will be using the protesters to enhance the portions of the Dark Knight Rises story line.

Personally, I think it’s interesting. Instead of asking the protesters to move and blocking off the streets for production, Nolan actually wants to use the protesters. I’m guessing that Nolan already scheduled he scene to shoot in NYC months ago and when Occupy Wall Street started gaining steam, he decided to use them. It’ll definitely be a nice touch to the film if it actually happens.
