Our Thoughts Are With the Families & Victims In Aurora, Colorado

The nation and the world grieves with the victims of last night’s shooting at The Dark Knight Rises midnight screening in Aurora, Colorado. The staff here at Reel Movie Nation give our thoughts and condolences to the victim’s families involved in the tragedy. We are not writing this to go into the details of the massacre, as those can be found in nearly every media outlet. This is about showing our love and concern for the victims.

As the media continues to release new details, it’s upsetting and extremely disheartening to know that while I and many others were enjoying the film last night, at 12:30 A.M people were being shot at. It’s hard to imagine that at the same time, when we were all watching the same film and the same scenes as thousands across America, good, innocent blood was shed. As we all know, 12 people lost their lives and 59 more were injured. And today, and for a very long time, countless more hearts will ache for their missed loved ones.

Our condolences also go out to the gunman’s family, in particularly the mother. Their family needs as much support. We too grieve with you all at this time.

We will never know the full extent of your pain and sorrow, but we can hope that every thought and prayer strengthens your hearts.
