Channing Tatum and two of his producing partners, Reid Carolin and Eric Bromberg, have come up with the idea of creating a film about what happened before the beloved film we all know as Peter Pan. That’s right the film will take us into the story before Peter and Captain Hook were enemies. The star of the show? The one and only Channing Tatum.
Tatum and the crew pitched the idea to several different studios, but it’s believed that Sony won the rights to the film. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the current script connects Peter Pan and Captain Hook as brothers. Technically, this isn’t going against the story because not much is said about Hook’s past to begin with. Therefore, the writers have some leeway.
First off, Channing Tatum is not Peter Pan nor is he a Roman Centurion. I don’t understand why he can’t stick to roles more suitable for him. He doesn’t have the look nor the sound to play Peter Pan. As far as the two being related it could be interesting. Before anyone gets fussy, remember the idea is not set in stone.
